Appearance settings with theme, English language, and date display

Language and appearance

Under Appearance, choose Korean, Japanese, English, or the system language, and select light or dark appearance. UI language is separate from the language of AI responses; state the desired language in your request.

Chat display

Under Chat, configure collapsed long messages, code wrapping, and wide chat layout. Change the model and permission mode in the task composer. See Models and context.

Notifications

Configure notifications for completion, errors, questions, and permission requests. Aru also needs OS notification permission. If notifications are missing, check OS settings and Focus mode.

Keyboard shortcuts

Open Keyboard Shortcuts, select an input, press the new combination, and choose Save Changes. Use Reset for one action or Reset All for all shortcuts.

Task retention and cleanup

Under Tasks → Task retention, configure automatic cleanup and retention period. Cleanup uses last activity and preserves the five most recent tasks.

Review the deletion scope before Run cleanup now. Save important results and decisions to files; task retention is separate from project-file retention.

Account and organization

Use the profile menu to switch organization or account, open account settings and help, or sign out. Switching organizations ends the previous organization’s runtime and connections. Finish active work first. Models, tools, and task lists can differ by organization; local project folders are not copied.
