Generate and edit images

Describe a scene and style to create a new image, or attach an existing image or provide its absolute path to request changes. Image generation and editing must be available in your organization.

Generate an image

1. Open a task and state the image’s purpose.
2. Describe the subject, background, style, and intended use.
3. Send the request.
4. Review the completed image.

Create an illustration for an internal event announcement. Show people collaborating in a bright office and leave space at the top for a title.

For text in an image, provide the exact wording and language. Zoom in to check text, logos, and small details.

Edit an image

1. Attach a PNG or JPEG, or include an absolute file path that the execution environment can read.
2. Describe what to keep and what to change.
3. Send the request and compare the result with the source.

Keep the person and composition, change the background to a bright meeting room, and remove the small text at the lower right.

Keep the composition of /Users/me/project/assets/banner.png and change its background to dark blue.

When using a path, specify an absolute path on the execution host. If several source images are possible, name the exact file to use. When editing a recent result, also say which image should be the source.

Review and refine

Name the color, position, and elements to keep.

Keep the background, make the person smaller, and leave the left side empty for a presentation title.

Generation can take time. For errors, check feature availability, source format, and attachment state.

Save to the project

After generation or editing, Aru provides a preview and the path to the original-quality image file. Use that original for document insertion, copying, or another edit. The path belongs to the computer where the task ran; it is not the same as downloading the file to another connected computer.

An image shown in the conversation is not necessarily saved in the project folder you want. Ask for a destination path and confirm the copied file.

Save this image to results/event-announcement.png in the current project.

Open the saved file from Files. Before business use, verify facts, usage rights, and text in the image.
